MNSeed National Seed Swap Day Seed Swap

  • Anderson Center , Room 305, Hamline University 774 Snelling Avenue North Saint Paul, MN, 55104 United States (map)

Did you miss the MNSEED in-person seed swap at the Gibbs Farm Red Barn back in November? Well here’s your chance to gather on National Seed Swap Day (yes, there is such a thing!) on Saturday January 28th, 1-4 pm with other Capitol Region Watershed neighbors to exchange seeds, seed stories and garden knowhow. So bring your seeds to share and your list of seeds you’d like to try this year and get ready for the possibility of finding that new unexpected favorite addition to this year’s garden!

This is an informal swap event!

  • Drop-ins welcome.

  • No minimum seed amount required.

  • Growers, gardeners, pollinator-supporters and seed enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels are welcome.

  • Open to all seed types: vegetables, flowers, native plants, herbs and more.

  • Seeds can be commercially sourced or from saved stocks.

  • Seeds can be unprocessed (not yet cleaned) or unpackaged (the event will provide empty envelopes for portioning).

This event is free and no registration is necessary. Masks are welcome. Parking is available  on nearby streets or underground at the Anderson Center for $1.50/hr.

This seedy adventure is co-sponsored by the MNSEED Project, Capitol Region Watershed District, The Bee Line,  the Hamline Midway Coalition, Hamline University, Frogtown Green, Hothouse Horticulture, the District 10 Como Community Council, and the Como Community Seed Library.

The MNSEED Project is a collaboration between the Minnesota State Horticulture Society, The Como Community Seed Library and others. For more information about how to join the MNSEED Project (free!) and access all of its resources go to https://northerngardener.org/mn-seed-project/ . Serving its 4th growing season, the MNSEED Project is very grateful to Capitol Region Watershed District for its vision and financial support
