COMO COMMUNITY SEED LIBRARY

cultivating community

our mission

To give the St. Paul, Como community in Minnesota access to free, organic seed, and education on seed saving and gardening practices.

To spread the seeds of community resilience, diverse cultural food ways and the benefits and great flavors of garden grown crops.

Sow

Sow seeds of diversity by sharing organic open pollinated heirloom seeds that deepen our understanding and ties to the cultural practices in our community that celebrate our rich agricultural heritage.

Grow

Grow locally adapted open access seed/crops without the use of pesticides or herbicides. Grow native plants along with your culinary and horticultural varieties. Invite everyone to the garden.

Share

Share your harvest, seeds and seed stories with your neighbors. Please share seeds and stories back to the seed library so someone can grow them out again next season.

Who We Are:

Como Community Seed Library is a traveling seed library founded in 2015. We seek to serve as the community gardening hub, where organic, open-pollinated and locally adapted open source seed is available season to season.

By sowing, growing, saving and sharing seed, we promote a food network that celebrates our Community
